Kids often need a little extra help when they're first learning to count & assign place value to numbers. Unifix cubes have been around since I was a kid & now my own children have them. Here's a quick review on those, as well as some hints on other great counters you can use. Hint: You already have most of these at home!
Wow! Who knew I would be so busy at the beginning of May? It has been crazy busy in my home, and I'm sure you've been quite busy, as well. It seems that there's always something that needs my attention, leaving little time for any true R & R!
I actually did make it through a project just for fun. Can you believe it? Of course, I did this project in April, before things got so busy. I'm posting lots of pictures, because I'm very proud of my accomplishment -- even if it is just a little rug! It's just a simple half double crochet rug I worked in the round. I didn't use a pattern, just some yarn, an "S" crochet hook & my imagination (as much as one can have when working in the round). The yarn was super-soft, which made it a delight to work with. I used Bernat Baby Blanket (100% Polyester, Put-up: 10.50 oz / 300 g, Length: 258 yd / 234 m) in White (#04005) & Pink Blue Ombre (#04305). I was almost sorry to see it come to an end! It was heavenly -- marshmallow-y soft!
I hope you like it & feel inspired to complete a project, too! Write a comment to let me know what project you are working on or have just completed -- and feel proud of your accomplishment!
Spaghetti is a hands-down favorite in our home. If you're a spaghetti lover, too, why not try your hand at adding some fun meatballs to that sauce?! The recipe is available right here on The Blueberry Bee, just click on the Recipes tab & look for "Meatballs." Click the title & print off a copy of your very own. Feel completely free to change the recipe to your liking! If you click "play" on the video player, you can get a quick look at how I threw this meal together in about 35 minutes.
