I keep a crochet journal. What's that? Well, I'm glad you asked. A crochet journal is simply a small notebook in which you can keep imaginative ramblings, patterns you create, a log of your yarn stash, and log the date & title of any project you have completed. In short, it's a book where you keep your stuff. :) You can click on the play button below to hear me talk about it, if you want.
If you love baskets, but find that none of them match in color, I have a quick, inexpensive solution for you! I came up with this idea as I was contemplating painting my baskets to match. I'm not crazy about spray paint in my home, nor brushing on paint & letting it dry and then having to add another coat and let that dry. Another problem I faced was that the weave of the baskets didn't match, either. Find out how I solved the problem by watching a quick video. Just click the player below to see what I did to quickly redo my tired, mismatched baskets.
Let's face it. We live in a world of garbage. Things just aren't made as robustly as they once were. All it takes is a short trip to any store to figure it out. That iron that you see in the old movies -- you know the one -- the cast iron job with the door in the back that you put hot coals into. Yeah, that one. It's the kind that you definitely didn't want to drop on your foot, but also the kind you never needed to replace! Today's iron's fail all too soon, leaving you frustrated that you didn't go ahead and pay more for the nicer one that might actually have lasted longer.
Headphones are largely the same. You step on them once. . . and SNAP! They are no longer headphones. They are now officially garbage. Well, suppose you have managed to make them last. What do you do when the ear pads tear? They are made of thin foam, after all. They can't last forever. Well, out of necessity, I came up with a couple of patterns that you can follow to make your own sweet replacements for those worn out foam ones. What I love most about these, is that you can change them out during the different seasons and holidays throughout the year. So, go ahead, whip some up, and have fun! Simply click on the players below for a tutorial on how to make them. You can also get the FREE PDF PATTERN right here on the "Free Patterns" tab.
